AAAAHHH!!! PARIS INTERNATIONALE – a fair for contemporary art and a non-profit initiative engaged for the Parisian and International artistic scenes.

  • 17.10.2018. - 21.10.2018

2018 will mark a return to the spirit of Paris Internationale’s inaugural edition. Moving back to a domestic set-up, a ve storied Haussmannian building, the fair also chose to scale down in order to enhance a more intimate experience for exhibitors and visitors alike thus fostering dialogue. Paris Internationale 2018 will take place at 16 rue Alfred de Vigny, a 19th century mansion opening to a private garden connecting with the iconic parc Monceau, a favorite of Parisian flâneurs.

Juxtaposing a variety of atmospheres as a testament to the distinctive identities of the many participants, this edition will celebrate particularity over homogeneity. Progressing through the fair, visitors will encounter artworks within spaces already imbued with character. Paris Internationale 2018 will welcome 42 galleries hailing from 21 countries. Following the open-call to non-profits, Paris Internationale diligently reviewed over 150 applications and selected 8 international spaces to participate: 650mAh (Hove), Artkartell projectspace (Budapest), Atlanta Contemporary (Atlanta), Cordova (Barcelona), Goswell Road (Paris), ICA (London), Life Sport (Athens), The Performance Agency (Berlin).

Paris Internationale also welcomes 11 new participants : A Thousand Plateaus (Chengdu), Damien & the Love Guru (Brussels), Fons Welters (Amsterdam), Horizont (Budapest), Isabella Bortolozzi (Berlin), Öktem Aykut (Istanbul), Reserve Ames (Los Angeles), ROH Projets (Jakarta), Southard Reid (London), Wschód (Warsaw), XYZ collective (Tokyo). Paris Internationale was established in 2015 as an innovative alternative to traditional art fairs and with the goal to support a young generation of galleries. In only three editions, it has developed into a vital instrument for promoting the work of emerging artists and rediscovering more established figures.
