L☿ver – Dara Friedman

Galleria Franco Noero

  • 30.10.2018. - 25.02.2019

Artist Dara Friedman works with film and video, mixing references from everyday life. The exhibition L☿ver presents the figure of an “ur-mensch”, a phallic woman in an all encompassing experience. The artist reinterprets the flute melody of “Prelude at the afternoon of a faun” by Claude Debussy, so that the instrument itself reveals both masculine and feminine qualities, a means of shamanic power, a magic wand into which one blows down an empty shaft, for the passage of a vibrating and transformative air.
