The Ideology of Artificial Intelligence
- 20:00 - 22:00 Uhr 2018-02-22
The robot Sophia is granted Saudi citizenship, chatbots replace psychotherapists and coaches, and in the most complicated board game in the world, "Go," a self-learning computer outperforms its predecessor, which had previously beaten the world champion flesh and blood Finally, it is confirmed that the machine is the better person, but how do the systems of so-called artificial intelligence actually work, which ideas shape their design, and what are the effects of their increasing application in the production, administration and everyday practices of individuals ? The lecture sketches the latest developments in AI research as well as their connection with transformation processes to digital capitalism, which increasingly interweave emancipation and pitfalls.
